ERA Chair coordinator Prof Mart Loog participated the Opinion Festival in Paide to discuss the ethical aspects of synthetic biology. In addition to Mart, the panel consisted of Dr. Kersti Jääger and senior scientist Dr. Viljar Jaks. The discussion was moderated by Priit Ennet.

Opinion Festival is the biggest event of its kind in Baltic states that took place in Paide on August 12-13, 2016. The Fourth Opinion Festival brought discussions and debates to life in the ideal environment, inspiring people to create new ideas and deeds, and bringing them together. Through this, the Festival aims to develop a culture of discussion within society.
